HENNESSY FELLOWS

Overview

Must be 21 years of age at the time of application or older and currently enrolled in the first year of an HBCU MBA program.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) in partnership with Hennessy is proud to present the Hennessy Fellows. This unprecedented $10M initiative will award high-achieving graduate students, representing a variety of undergraduate majors from liberal arts to sciences and engineering, from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) with curated corporate development experiences, as well as financial assistance. Experiences include online training forums, an immersive boot camp, and networking opportunities to enhance the exchange of ideas and provide direct exposure to interrelated corporate, social and economic systems. Selected fellows will also receive a scholarship up to $20,000 per academic year and a $10,000 stipend.

Students in their first year of an MBA program currently enrolled at an HBCU with a minimum GPA of 3.25, and who has leadership experience, strong ethical and moral character, academic excellence, and cultural awareness are encouraged to apply!

Hennessy and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund expand the reach of the Hennessy Fellows program to all HBCU graduates, addressing critical needs of TMCF’s member HBCUs and their students.

Hennessy Fellows is an unprecedented $10M initiative for HBCU grad students, designed to equip the next generation of diverse C-suite leaders through financial assistance, access and experiences.

To celebrate those that will miss the milestone of graduation this year, Hennessy and TMCF are proud to sponsor D-Nice’s official after-party for the National HBCU Commencement Celebration on May 16th.

DJ D-Nice’s #ShowMeYourWalk HBCU Grad Partywill kick off at 9pm ET on Instagram Live for viewers aged 21+.
Members of the Hennessy family, including Nas and A$AP Ferg, will partake in the virtual celebration.
In addition to highlighting graduates and their institutions, the #ShowMeYourWalk HBCU Grad Partywill raise funds for participating HBCUs and their students.

Hennessy and TMCF congratulate the inaugural Hennessy Fellows class graduating this month.

Comprised of eight graduate students, each prepared to enter the workforce no matter what it holds.
Hennessy & TMCF also welcome a second cohort of Fellows: ten high-achieving, high-potential students representing Clark Atlanta University, Howard, Morgan State, Southern and Florida A&M Universities.
Applications for the third class of Hennessy Fellows will open starting August 2020.

Due to these unprecedented times, Hennessy and TMCF will open up resources and access to all HBCU students with a first-ever online academy.

Launching in June, the learning resource will be available to Hennessy Fellows and all HBCU students aged 21+.
Designed specifically for diverse candidates, the platform pulls back the curtain to C-Suite leaders, offering transparent insights and resources to help students navigate corporate America.
