Gregory (Greg) Jones, a Chicago native and Navy veteran, is the Chief Diversity Officer for United Airlines. He is charged with developing strategic and execution plans for embedding diversity & inclusion principles, policies, training and behaviors throughout the global airline and among its more than 84,000 employees.

Prior to joining United, Greg was the director of diversity & inclusion and corporate staffing for Northwestern Mutual. There, he developed and executed the strategy to establish diversity & inclusion as a core competency in the home office as well as the field and created a strategic diversity partner program for senior leaders. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, he was head of diversity & inclusion for UBS Wealth Management.

Greg has extensive experience engaging with senior management at Bank of America, where he worked in executive hiring and retention. In addition, as a consultant with Egon Zehnder, an executive search firm headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Greg led projects where he assessed and recruited senior talent at various companies in sectors that ranged from high tech to manufacturing. He also is an engineer by training and started his career with General Electric Medical Systems, where he did design and development work on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and X-ray systems.

Greg attended Tuskegee and Stanford Universities, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, respectively in electrical engineering. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Advisory Board Member for the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) and a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).
